I woke up one beautiful morning feeling all energized to do some cleaning, after cleaning I went further to burn some old stuffs that weren’t in use any longer.

I arranged them in such a way that they’ll get burnt easily, I poured kerosene on them and set them ablaze thinking everything was going to get burnt in a couple of minutes.

To my amazement I saw that only few parts of what I was burning had flames on it, I tried my best in spreading the flames evenly on all the stuffs that was meant to be burnt with the aid of a large stick.

Alas, it didn’t work out and I almost got my fingers burnt during the whole process, I was still looking at the other parts that lacked flame disappointedly when a very strong wind blew the flames from the burning objects to the remaining objects that were void of flame.

You really needed to see the smile on my face as I watched the flames spread evenly in a matter of seconds, the other parts that were struggling to burn began to burn with ease. The wind came in really handy as it acted as a catalyst to hasten the combustion reaction, I left the scene and walked to my room reminiscing about the whole scenario and discovered that we all have the chance to learn from the environment and our daily activities if only we’re open minded and also give serious attention to all that happens to us daily.

I kept on replaying the scenes in my head and discovered that fire doesn’t have the ability to spread its heat (influence; burning potentials) alone. It has to work hand in hand with the wind in ensuring that much ground is covered ON TIME.

In the same vein, we tend to advance further in every aspect of life when we work and walk with people of common goals and interests. I know you might be disappointed at the current state of things, wallowing in our position will do us much harm than good as we eventually get to waste precious time that waits for no man.

A wise man once said if you want to go FAST go alone, but if you want to go FAR move with people of same VISION and COMMON INTERESTS.
